The mutoscope was an early motion picture device at the turn of the century akin to the cailoscope and kinetoscope. It’s a coin operated machine that flips pictures along a rotary wheel reel. The wheel is rotated manually by a hand crank at the front of the machine. Up for sale is a complete and genuine mutoscope viewer, vintage original iron stand, and wrestling match reel. You may have seen this particular picture viewer at Coney Island or Absury Park Amusement. This rare mutoscope machine works great. Has lock and keys and marquee. Great condition for its age. The bulb functions to light the viewing pictures and crank works. Complete with an exciting wrestling movie picture. Total unit stands over 6′ tall. Nice clean working Mutoscope Penny Arcade machine. The cards are lit, but in the video below, the mutoscope viewing machine is not plugged into an electric outlet. SOLD #0528
