Antique Iron Ornate Bed Salesman Sample “Fleur-De-Lis” Style
For sale is a salesman sample iron bed with hardware. The bed has fleur-de-lis designs. This is a very detailed salesman sample bed. A very rare original bed to find with such detail as this one. The caster wheels are made of wood. Has the iron pin bed rails. Complete with original rails and woven mesh wire mattress. These two pieces of hardware are rare to find especially with a mesh wire mattress. The finish on the head board and foot board are original untouched as found with the original distressed turn of century finish. The bed measures about 27 inches long and 15 inches wide and Headboard 19 1/4 inches tall, Foot board 13 ¼ inch tall. For its age the paint has shown to come off various areas over time. The mattress has two areas that need a minor weld. Can be easily fixed. See all photos. It’s simple nature, graceful lines and it’s modernism is quite sleek with a touch of royalty.
