Mutoscope c1920’s. Fully restored counter top machine. Mutoscope manufactured by the International Mutoscope and Biograph Co of New York. Has the Original lock and key. This is number 17 model produced. See brass plate on front of machine. The Mutoscope was an early motion picture device, patented by Herman Casler on November 21, 1894. An extra feature, the buyer will receive a copy of a very rare Biograph Stock Certificate from our archive to mound on the wall near machine. Few Biograph stock certificate are know to exist that are signed and dated by president. The reel features “The Hula Stripper” which shows a hula dancer that moves and shakes like no other. In addition, the mutoscope has an original tall cast iron marquee with theOriginal girlie show card. This fine machine has been professionally restored inside and out (includes new wiring throughout, new vintage-like cord, LED light). Machine is in Great working condition. Insert 25 cents for operation. This reel was produced by the “INTER. MUTO. REEL Co.” of New York. It contains hundreds of images of this risqué hula dancer. First marketed by the American Mutoscope Company (later the American Mutoscope and Biograph Company)—quickly dominated the coin-in-the-slot “peep-show” business.
