Product Description
Selling the pair of vintage WWII Japanese Punk Doll Target Figures based on the anti-Japanese WWII “Kill The Jap” propaganda of the 1940s. The set of antique circus punk dolls depict General Tojo and/or Emperor Hirohito for patrons to knock them down for carnival game amusement. This type of game was very popular in amusement parks for patrons to hit the hated Japanese targets.
Figures are approximately 8” x 4” wide. Each vintage WW2 Japanese doll has a wooden base. These rare circus carnival knockdowns are in excellent used condition consistent with age. Acquired from upstate New York collection many years ago along with other knockdown clown dolls. See our other historical memorabilia and WW2 games, like Poison The Rat depicting Hitler.
Hirohito reigned as the emperor of Japan from 25 December 1926 until 2 May 1947 and the state of Japan afterwards.
