The Yellow Kid was the creation of Richard Felton Outcault and is considered the first American comic strip character to be a popular star. The character first appeared in Truth magazine in 1894. This is a highly sought after original and most popular collectible character today from the turn of the century. This slogan “yellow kid” represents the first ever comic character endorsement of a presidential candidate- McKinley.
