Rare 1953 TV Director Ride by Scientific Machine Corp in restored mint condition

Believed to be no other known examples. This rare coin-operated kiddie ride fashioned after a Studio TV camera and boom equipped with seat. Designed by Jack Firestone. The ride includes a 10-inch by 12-inch screen which shows 3-D color moving disc comic pictures and which the youngster peers into as “TV Director”. The ride moves up and down in a slightly forward motion; plays music while the machine is in operation and three lights on the camera turn on while two red lights flash in harmony with the music and rotating pictures; measures 24 inches wide, 48 inches long and 36 inches high. The TV Ride has been tested at Coney Island on the summer of 1953. Only one known to exist. Very rare! Scientific Machine Corp. [Brooklyn, NY, USA] SOLD
